If a clock ever struck thirteen, it would mean defying the normal & the usual. It would take life to a different dimension. It would be like getting into the realm of bizarre & unwonted. The thirteenth hour signifies a new start, originating from the unknown and also the end, which leads to the unknown.

It is defiance to the continuum of time. The time stands still, its end & beginning being dark & obscure. The time moves but within its own world of the unexplained. It moves & changes but is still permanent creating a sense of mystery dissolving into oblivion for the other side of the world. It radiates permanence through its continuity of the unraveled.

The thirteenth hour also interprets the feeling of being clasped in the claws of distress & helplessness which takes nowhere & continues again leading to a blank. As the clock strikes thirteen the trap of time throws you into the universe of the lost.
